SERVICE/PRODUCTS DESCRIPTION
Aero Systems West (ASW) has been in business since 2015 conducting our mission of designing and fabricating industrial heavy-lift multirotor and fixed-wing sUAS platforms, and providing related flight and engineering services for our customers. ASW began in the field of designing and producing fixed-wing platforms with the Goose, a patented, high-durability, hand launched, fixed-wing platform. All aircraft (fixed-wing and multirotor) are designed in-house and manufactured at ASW’s facility in San Martin, California. ASW currently produces four different multirotor platforms. The ILM, or intermediate lift multirotor, is capable of over 45 minutes of flight and can carry payloads up to 8 pounds. The next three multirotor aircraft comprise the HLM (heavy lift multirotor) system: HLM Quad, HLM Hex, and HLM Octo. Those three models were designed to be modular and interchangeable in terms of parts, payloads, and supply chain. Each HLM has an endurance up to 50+ minutes. The HLM max recommended payloads are 35, 50, and 80 pounds respectively for the Quad, Hex, and Octo. ASW platforms are highly flexible for attachment and integration of payloads. ASW works with our customers to procure and integrate specialized equipment per their requirements, or provide the mounting and integration of customer’s existing equipment. Some examples include cameras (e.g. optical, video, infrared, hyper-spectral, etc.), sensor systems (e.g. FLIR, RF, SAR, etc.), mechanisms (e.g. payload drop, spreaders, sprayers, etc.). ASW was acquired in 2021 by Nippon Kayaku (NK) of Japan. NK is an industry leader with over a quarter century of experience producing high reliability safety system technologies. ASW assisted NK in the development and launch of Parasafe, our drone parachute system. Parasafe represents the next evolution of our automotive grade safety technologies, designed to protect people and equipment.
