The Kansas Association of Directors of Plant Facilities (KADPF) was founded in the mid-1950s to connect maintenance and custodial personnel across Kansas. Its purpose was to create a network where facility professionals could share experiences, learn from each other’s successes and mistakes, and improve the operation of educational facilities statewide. Today, KADPF continues that mission through professional networking, training, and an annual conference supported by vendors and sponsors. The organization awards ten $3,500 scholarships each year to students whose parents work in school maintenance or custodial roles, contributing over $300,000 since 1994. Through these efforts, KADPF strengthens Kansas schools and supports the families who keep them running.
