Measuring Effectiveness’s primary capabilities are concentrated in six areas: 1. Conceptualizing Research Objectives and Methods – At Measuring Effectiveness, all projects begin with establishing a shared understanding of the clients’ needs and desired outcomes. Whether defining research questions, creating an evaluation plan, or developing needed professional development services Measuring Effectiveness possesses the knowledge and experience to design and recommend interventions that meet our clients’ requirements. 2. Quantitative Data Collection and Management – Measuring Effectiveness’s survey design and data collection services include creating instruments that people can complete using paper-and-pencil or hand-held electronic devices. All data collected and files and documents created for clients are secured by a cloud storage and file-sharing service (for example, Microsoft OneDrive) accessible only by Measuring Effectiveness. Using a cloud storage and file-sharing service and limiting access to files and databases to our evaluation team allows us to avoid the loss or theft of data collected through surveys and reports created using these data. 3. Qualitative Data Collection and Management – To gain a deeper understanding of research issues Measuring Effectiveness collects qualitative data for clients to using document reviews, focus groups, program observations, and structured interviews. These data are also secured by a cloud storage and file-sharing service (for example, Microsoft OneDrive) accessible only by Measuring Effectiveness. 4. Data: Analytics and Literacy – Measuring Effectiveness's 27 years of experience with and knowledge of advanced statistical analyses informs its customized data literacy services which are intended to identify knowledge gaps among employees, design and deliver customized learning experiences that help employees master the fundamentals of statistics and increase their understanding of how to work with and make sense of data when making decisions. 5. Evaluation Research – Measuring Effectiveness relies on the four previously identified capabilities to design and conduct a variety of program evaluations, ranging from national large-scale, multiyear, multi-site designs to working with local community-based organizations. 6. Technical Assistance – Measuring Effectiveness's experience includes providing technical assistance to employees of non-profit organizations and public sector agencies. Technical assistance services range from designing and delivering custom trainings, facilitating peer-to-peer learning, strategic planning, and assisting clients develop theory of change and logic models.
