At ChalkTalk, we recognize that learning is a social activity, and students learn best through interactions with their teachers and peers. ChalkTalk uses a mock state test to generate scaffolded learning activities for teachers and students. Teachers log into ChalkTalk to find smart slides and handouts on today’s lesson that they use for engaging instruction. Smart slides have embedded polls to engage the students as the lessons progress. Students then access a library of adaptive digital practice activities on today’s lesson, which they can complete individually or in small groups. Throughout the course, students take mini formative and interim assessments, which help calibrate the content to focused it on the most important ELA & Math Standards. In just 10-15 weeks, schools that used ChalkTalk saw their students experience 2-6x more growth in test scores compared to their peers who received 52 weeks of traditional classroom instruction.
