Growing hydroponically is a powerful teaching tool.Instructors engage young minds in the process of growing their own fresh food. Students learn about STEM, agriculture, nutrition, and how to be a sustainable global citizen through hands-on learning. Growing fresh food provides a unique experience unlike any other and empowers them to think creatively about their communities and the global food system. FORK FARMS LEARNING GUIDES/TOOLKITS Schools receive everything they need to successfully grow indoors. All growing supplies are provided with our systems. Educators are provided free access to our K-12 Curriculum, Badging Program, and Activities Guide through Farmative accounts. CURRICULUM:Includes a robust, turnkey curriculum package offering hands-on, cross-curricular learning opportunities for grades K–12. BADGE PROGRAM: Short, quick, performance-task, demonstrate understanding of Flex Farm use (most applicable for grades 3-5 or 6-8). ACTIVITY GUIDES: Mini-lessons approximately 20 minutes, longer instructional time and more indepth than badging (all ages). In the course, we walk partners through all our key resources and share best practices for growing.The lessons are self-paced, interactive, and accessible at any time. Each lesson contains all of our resources on the topic in one place.
